"Wall Girls Basketball Improves To 12-2 This Season With A 60-50 Victory Over Holmdel Behind Emily Tvrdik's 19 Points, 5 Rebounds, 1 Block And 9 Steals"

Wall girls basketball and Holmdel high school went to battle yesterday in a big game for both teams. Coming into this matchup the two players to watch out for were Emily Tvrdik from Wall and Allison Cannon from Holmdel. Wall is a tough and well coached team at 11-2 while Holmdel is still trying to find their groove at 6-5. Both teams can beat you in multiple ways with size and shooting so this was an interesting matchup for sure. Let's see who can come up clutch between Wall and Holmdel in a huge game.

Holmdel got off to a rough start in first quarter as they a tough time stopping Wall's offense, kept turning the ball over and didn't find open shots early. Wall did a great job on defense which gave confidence for their offense and had a 10 point lead at 15-5 heading to second quarter. Holmdel did a better job of finding shots, passing the ball but still struggled on defense which kept them down double digits. Wall had a 29-15 lead at halftime with all the momentum before the second half. Holmdel needed to make adjustments and switch up their game plan against Wall.

Wall still was shooting the ball well in third and fourth quarter but let Holmdel make a run to keep game close. Their defense gave up some easy shots to Holmdel as they did a great job of taking advantage of that. The turnovers also hurt Holmdel which prevented them from tying this game or taking the lead. Wall extended to a 14 point lead going into the last quarter at 47-33. Holmdel outscored Wall 19-13 in fourth quarter but wasn't enough to win this game as Wall gets a 60-50 victory over Holmdel improving to 12-2 this season.
