The Trenton Thunder get ready for their 2024 season to kickoff tonight with a new roster and new manager in Adonis Smith who was the hitting coach last year. Smith deserves this opportunity as he learned underneath Jeff Manto for a couple years before Jeff announced that he was stepping down after last season. Adonis Smith has a great IQ of the game, players love playing for him, learning and has the ability to build relationships quickly. Their coaching staff will have familiar faces and a new hitting coach as Matt Sweeney & Shaun Chacon Return to Trenton, Ron Perodin Named Hitting Coach. Yesterday was Media Day for them while Adonis Smith and Jeff Hurley spoke with Kyle Franco and Dave Fenster.
