"Trenton Thunder On A Hot Streak Right Now With Their Pitching And Offense Dominant Once Again Headlined By Starting Pitcher Sonny Fauci"

Trenton Thunder win their fourth in a row (4-1 overall) in the second half starting this important series on a high note against Mahoning Valley Scrappers who are also one of the top teams right now. Both teams have been dominant so far in second half with pitching, playing great defense and scoring runs. The Thunder feel confident going into every game and it was the same result yesterday for them. They got an outstanding performance from their pitcher Sonny Fauci last night as the bullpen had his back also. Trenton's offense had some key hits in this game and creating runs.

Sonny Fauci who is from Old Bridge New Jersey, went to Rutgers and St. Johns had his family/friends in attendance to watch him pitch. Fauci was coming out of the bullpen so this was his first start of season. Fauci did struggle a little in the beginning but pitching coach Shawn Chacon cama out from dugout to talk to him and giving him confidence. After that pump up speech from Chacon, Fauci was dominant since that the whole game going six no hit innings. It only takes that one lift from another person to get them back on track and it was great to see him compete.

Sonny Fauci (W 1-1) 6.0 innings, 0 hits, 1 run, 1 er, 4 walks and 6 strikeouts (1.54 era)

Anthony Abbatine (4 rbis), Ian Battipaglia, Chase Engelhard, Santino Rosso and Ryan Vogel all had contributions on the offensive side for Trenton Thunder.

After the game we interviewed pitcher Sonny Fauci as he talked about his performance, Shawn Chacon, being from Old Bridge New Jersey, playing for Trenton Thunder in front of friends/family, college career with Rutgers/St. Johns, being able to start, mentioned Max Scherzer and Mark Leiter Sr. as role models.
