"Trenton Thunder Finish The Last Home Stand Of Season 3-3 As They Have A Huge Road Trip"

Trenton Thunder wrapped up their last home stand of the season this last week against Williams Port Cross Cutters and State College Spikes. All of these games were big coming into it for them but some ups and downs in both series. They had a couple of firework nights for the fans during this home stand which is always amazing and keep everyone entertained. The Thunder ended up going 3-3 against Williams Port and State College at home. In their wins, they had outstanding performances with pitching when it came to Jacob Denner who was dominant against State College.

Jacob Denner has been dominant in his last few starts for Trenton Thunder as everyone has been heating up at the right time. This team has great chemistry, awesome group of players that work hard everyday for manager Adonis Smith. Shawn Chacon, Matt Sweeney and Ron Perodin who are also on the coaching staff does a fantastic job of helping getting all the players ready for each game, working as a team and finding ways to win. Chase Engelhard is another player who has been heating up lately for the Thunder as he showed his power in this last home stand. Having the same routine is key for players and team that is trying to achieve a goal.

Trenton Thunder added a few players to this roster like Andy Blake who has fit right in with the team and made a huge impact for them. They make sure each new player is adjusted, feel right at home and work with the coaching staff to get prepared. Chris Behan also does a great job of keeping the players ready and game planning against the opponents. This team is all about family, keeping their fans happy, having everything organized and ready to go.

On Sunday September 1st was the final home game for Trenton Thunder as they faced State College Spikes. They did a pregame award ceremony for pitcher Luke Rettig, outfielder Ryan Vogel and catcher Chris Reeder. Vogel, Reeder and Rettig are great players on/off the field with leadership for their teammates. What a way to get honored in final home game of season before going on a big road trip. They have worked hard for this moment to happen.

Luke Rettig - MVP

Ryan Vogel - Stolen Base leader

Chris Reeder - Samuel J Plumeri Community Service Award.
