Last night the Woodbridge Brewing Company in Woodbridge New Jersey hosted a live viewing party for the New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings game. We had a great turnout with excited rangers fans ready to watch this game. My friends Kelli Dolan, Lorianne, Carrie and Heather from KD Sports Promotions were also in attendance with prizes to give out. The viewing party was on the second floor with tables set up and five different TV's from all angles ready to go. Scott Blander who is a big Rangers fan, which had the clown face paint during Halloween and made the official page made an appearance also with his girlfriend Sharon.
During each game and viewing party, Kelli Dolan started to hand out raffle tickets to all fans that were there to give them an opportunity to win some great prizes with New York Rangers. Then during the intermissions, we called out the raffle ticket numbers and some people won. This little girl who was at the viewing party and a passionate Rangers fan didn't win anything but Kelli still gave her a puck which was amazing to see. Our friend and co worker Jeremy also won a puck towards the end. All of the fans who came enjoyed themselves, had some great food and having conversations.
It was a great viewing party hosted by Woodbridge Brewing Company as we had great success with a New York Rangers win over the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 which was a comeback victory. Then during the first intermission, I had an opportunity to interview Scott Blander about his Rangers fandom, how he got started with the Clown face paint, being on the official New York Rangers page, NHL page over the years and this year for Halloween, then his girlfriend Sharon who is a New Jersey Devils fan joined the conversation as Scott told an interesting story about his best moments as a Rangers fan. It was a great segment as we got to learn more about Blander's story.
