TCNJ Lions women's basketball hosted Montclair State University live at Packer Hall in early afternoon 1:00 game with a decent crowd on hand. Montclair State was trying to keep the momentum going at 5-4 while TCNJ were trying to get head coach Chessie Jackson her 100th career win. This was a big game for both teams even though it's still early in season. Can Montclair spoil a special moment or does TCNJ get the 100th career win for coach Chessie Jackson, let's find out.

Right off the bat TCNJ started the game strong with getting great looks at the basket in transition, forcing turnovers and drawing fouls. Their defense was fantastic which set up the offense to do multiple things against Montclair's defense. TCNJ had all the momentum heading into the second quarter leading 19-8 and Montclair having no answers. TCNJ had great ball movement with amazing flow to their offense.

Montclair State started to find much better looks at the basket in second quarter against TCNJ and their defense improved a little. TCNJ's defense let Montclair make a run heading into halftime as they were leading 34-21. TCNJ still had a high percentage of shots and getting open looks at the basket. Also second chance points was huge in this game which helped them. Montclair kept giving away easy layups which hurt them big time also.

TCNJ dominated the second half outscoring Montclair 33-18 with great defense and a high powerer offense. Montclair really had trouble in second half against TCNJ with everything going their way. They wanted to get that 100th career win for coach Chessie Jackson which happened by a score of 67-39 against Montclair State improving to 5-4 this season. Final stats for TCNJ 25-57 field goals, 43.9 field goal percentage, 6-21 three pointers and 28.6 three point percentage.
