Seton Hall women's basketball hosted Central Connecticut State live at Walsh Gymnasium as they continue their strong start to the season coming into this matchup at 5-3. Coach Anthony Bozzella has them playing at a high level, great team basketball, chemistry and competes till the end. Central Connecticut State was 1-8 coming into this game and looking to get back on the win column in any way possible. Seton Hall Pirates were ready for the game, pumped up and focused.
From the start, Seton Hall got off to a strong start getting open looks at the basket, great ball movement and playing great defense. Central Connecticut State found shots also but struggled a little with shooting. The Pirates had momentum throughout this game as they never looked back. Their defense was a also outstanding holding Central Connecticut State to 10 points in first quarter, 11 second quarter, 13 third quarter and 12 fourth quarter. Seton Hall did a great job of preventing runs, continuing to shoot the ball well, force turnovers and drawing fouls.
At halftime Seton Hall was leading 32-21 with all the momentum as Central Connecticut State was trying to make adjustments but they couldn't stop the Pirates in the second half. Third and fourth quarter was all Seton Hall outscoring them 45-25 and eventually winning by a score of 77-46 improving to 6-3 this season. Central Connecticut State drops to 1-9 as their rough season continues. Coach Bozzella does a great job prepping Seton Hall before each game and this one was a complete team win even if they had some struggles. They had four players in double figures against Central Connecticut State and shared the ball at a high rate.
