Each player's families were in attendance getting ready to be honored with them. Senior Day is always special in highschool and college sports because on how hard they have worked to get this point achieving their goal. Rutgers knew how big the game was coming into senior day against Maryland and trying to get prepared for the postseason. It was a fantastic turnout with beautiful, amazing and fantastic weather.

Rutgers got the first goal of this game against Maryland at 23:06 by senior Emily Mason (2) which was assisted by Riley Tiernan. Scarlet Knights had other opportunities in this game to extend their lead but couldn't finish. The defense was outstanding until late in second half but they were able to get Maryland's offense caught off guard for most of this game. Maryland gets a clutch goal from Lisa McIntyre at 86:42 tying the game at 1-1. Scarlet Knights had time to score another one but Maryland did a great job of limiting their offense and a better game plan on defense.
