Central Regional girls softball were looking for their first win of the season against Toms River East as Bethanne Doderer was on the mound for them. They were going up against Kaleigh Fitzgibbons from Toms River East In this matchup. Central Regional got the momentum in second inning putting up 3 runs against Fitzgibbons and having great at bats. Doderer did a fantastic job of limiting the damage when Toms River East had runners on base. East had trouble with runners in scoring position and only got one the whole game.
The offense for Central Regional was fantastic as this gave confidence for Bethanne Doderer to focus against Toms River East offense. She had success locating her pitches, making it tough on them and getting key outs when needed. They get their first win of season with a 9-1 victory over Toms River East and improving to 1-1. Central Regional played outstanding team ball along with great defense which helped them get this win.
