The New York Jets are having a up and down season so far as they have been thru a lot of changes in this past week with firing of coach Robert Saleh. Jeff Ulbrich has taken over as interim head coach, offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett got demoted with Todd Downing calling plays now. They currently sit at
2-4 in the AFC after a tough loss against Buffalo Bills on Monday. Owner Woody Johnson is looking to make changes fast to save their season with week 7 already approaching. This team needs a spark that can help them get the confidence back.
After the loss to the Buffalo Bills, owner Woody Johnson, front office and Jets made a big trade to get star wide receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders. New York gave up a condinatinal third round pick which could turn into a second round pick for Adams. This trade reunites him with quarterback Aaron Rodgers going back from the Green Bay Packers days. Rodgers found out about the trade early in the morning yesterday and was excited. Davante Adams was already in the facility to make everything official with the Jets.
Aaron Rodgers made an appearance yesterday on the Pat McAfee show and Davante Adams was in the background also. They are ready to play with each other again and the Jets hope Adams will give them a big jolt to this team. Davante Adams will bring a different element to their offense which helps Garrett Wilson and other wide receivers. Owner Woody Johnson wants to keep the fans happy and is willing to get them back in AFC east running/division. It is going to be interesting to see what they do on offense for Adams and Rodgers.
