Yesterday live from Cedar Grove Town Hall in New Jersey, Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito got honored by being the first ever to get keys to the city as all of his family, friends and teacher were in attendance. This was a great experience to be part of and helping out them out with coverage for this special moment. Tommy is from Cedar Grove which is amazing for his family to witness as it will always be home for him. The Town Hall did a great job of setting everything up to make this happen on a well deserved day for DeVito. They had a check of 2,000,00 for the Shriners Children's Pediatric Specialty Care which was fantastic to see.
Tommy DeVito supports the Shriners in a positive way as Noble Laurence Frolow (Member) and Illustrious Sir Paul DiGaetano (Vice Chairman) who is part of the Shriners was also in attendance as the DeVito family presented a check from their fundraiser for the Shriners Hospital for children in Philadelphia. Lia Caravella who used to teach Tommy and his brother Max signed the check yesterday also. Other people that were in attendance were Sean Stellato who is the agent for Tommy DeVito, Rae Lyn from Legacy World 615 (Chief Culture Officer.
It was awesome getting to connect with Rae Lyn, Sean Stellato and Jim Moldow who is the president at Moldow Communications LLC/Broadcast PR Sales/Consulting. Once they did the check ceremony outside, we all went inside to witness Tommy DeVito get the keys to the city of Cedar Grove Town Hall in New Jersey with a plaque. Then DeVito came up to speak and his agent Sean Stellato spoke after. They both talked about how much it meant to Tommy's family/friends, mother Lexy, father Tommy DeVito SR and his brother Max. What a great moment for him as he has an unbelievable story being from New Jersey, going to Syracuse and now playing with the Giants.
Before the event started inside, I had the opportunity to interview his agent Sean Stellato and his father Tommy DeVito SR talking about Tommy's hard work, support from them, seeing him succeed at a high level, making the family proud and never giving up. It was great listening them speak highly about Tommy as Sean also talked about the first time he started working with the DeVito family. Congrats to the DeVito family for this remarkable event in history, thank you to Tommy's mother Lexy for inviting me to help out with coverage and looking forward to more opportunities with you guys.
